Walt Disney World is recognised as the world's top destination for young and old. There's just so much to do - something for everyone!
There are four main theme parks:
The Magic Kingdom is a must for those wanting the opportunity to experience the true magic of Disney - meet your favourite characters, see the wonderful parades and fireworks, visit Cinderella's Castle and don't forget the whole host of exciting rides. |
Epcot is divided into two themed areas. Future World includes the famous Spaceship Earth ride which traces the history of communication, as well as the amazing Wonders of Life where you are miniaturised to view the inner workings of the body. The Living Seas is a 5.7 million gallon aquarium filled with fish, sharks, sea turtles and dolphins, and don't forget to see the highly enjoyable 3-D film Honey I Shrunk the Audience. The second themed area, World Showcase is centred around the beautiful lagoon, and gives you the opportunity to sample the culture and cuisine of 11 very different countries. |
Disney's Hollywood Studios is devoted to television and movie production - see the most amazing special effects in The Backlot Tour, view the Disney animators at work producing their next blockbuster, and watch a variety of staged shows including Beauty and the Beast, Voyage of the Little Mermaid and the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular. There are also some great rides: Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Rock 'n' Roll Coaster, Star Tours, as well as the more sedate Great Movie Ride. |
Animal Kingdom is home to more than 1700 animals all of which you can see in environments which have been carefully created to resemble their native habitats. It is also home to Dinoland USA and a variety of shows, such as the fabulous Festival of the Lion King, and Tarzan Rocks where in-line skating meets amazing acrobatics. |
